Aurora Mediant is an  mythic dark fantasy author. Her father was a United Methodist minister, with whom she always enjoyed having spirited intellectual debates with.  Her mother is from the Philippines. 

Although she was born in Kansas, Aurora grew up largely in Minnesota and currently resides in Nebraska. She has always been highly introverted and an unabashed nerd who gravitates towards science, comics, sci-fi, and history. 

Aurora Mediant suffers from schizoaffective bipolar manic type disorder, social pragmatic communication disorder. Auditory hallucinations, colloquially known as 'hearing voices', has been somewhat advantageous to her writing.
